Is there a way to make the search list history longer, say 40 or more past searches ?

Not currently. You'll be able to save searches in the near future and maintain as many search entries as you want. It's not too far off. It's already sort of working but, needs fleshing out.

You can already pretty much do it in the current beta. I'm fleshing it out at the moment. Generate a watch list, set it to internet. Then right click "rescan" and to a scan. It'll pull and save a search. You can then load the watch list and rescan again later to get the latest results.

Yes it's currently very awkward but, I'm improving it right this very second.

I tried this but cant get it to work. Where do I set what to Internet? I don't ever download headers .. just use the Newsbin search server.

What version are you using?

You set it to internet in the options window for the watch list.
