Hi, i have paid version of nbpro 6.42: 00 62 82 FF F9 8E. I recently bought a Seagate barracuda 7200 2TB drive and moved all of "Newsbin Download" to the new drive "F:\". I didn't have trouble configuring NBPRO to the new directory (F:\Newsbin Download) BUT I want to move the data folder to the new drive because the current drive is faulty. So I know how to move the folder but how do i configure nbpro to its ne directory? Also I've notice newsbinpro64.exe is using too much memory when downloading files and thus it become slow at times. Why is nbpro using so much memory? I have 12GB available and newsbinpro64.exe is using almost 2GB. please advise on both questions. TIA!

P.S.

FYI the current data directory is "D:\Users\Dan\AppData\Local\NewsBin" I want to move it to the new HDD "F:\Users\Dan\AppData\Local\NewsBin" but I need to know how to tell NewsbinPRO where the new data folder directory is. TIA!

If you look down at the status bar, what does the "cache" entry say?

The procedure for moving the Newsbin Data Folder is in the Help Wiki.

Ok, 30 connections. That's probably not why it's using too much ram though. Having a bunch of files in the download list will consume a bunch of RAM.

Yes I do load files of 1500 days. I could shorten it but I'm a pathetic lurker...lol. Any advise? BTW the data folder advise went successful and NBPRO is working faster now!

It's not the age of the file, it's the total number of files in the list.

Problem solved. I forgot I run CleanMemPro in the background/visible.

I set it to flush the cache if it gets too high (50MB) and in advance mode I set a rule for newsbinpro64.exe to clean if over 100MB. So now my usage is back to 15% which is good. Newsbin runs faster now and my machine runs better too, thanks Quade! :D
