Download to path including $(thingie)

Postby JuanFusy » Tue Feb 05, 2013 3:37 pm

This 1 has been puzzling me for a while.
Couple of weeks ago i started using the version where you can add certain things to the download path.
Afaik and have read this path is used for group & search downloads?
How can I make this work for NZB's I save and present to NBP?
All of my downloads with pre fabricated NZB's goto to my folder E:\Download, while I have specified E:\Download\$(GROUP)\
Before this version all my downloads went to E:\Download\Nbp\a.b.something, how can I get this behaviour back?
Btw; I have the 6.42 running now.

How are you adding the NZB's to download?

I only obtain the NZB's via a Dutch app called SpotGrid, it was the answer on the closing of File Threads Database, and sometimes I use 1 of the WWW nzb search engines.
But mostly through SpotGrid.

Here's 1 waiting to be read bij NBP:

<!DOCTYPE nzb PUBLIC "-//newzBin//DTD NZB 0.9//EN" "http://www.newzbin.com/DTD/nzb/nzb-0.9.dtd">

Yeah, that's not what I'm asking. I'm asking how you feed the NZBs into Newsbin and then to the download list.

Ok, the NZB I mentioned is stored in the NZB path I have in NBP being E:\Download, that's where NBP picks it up and starts downloading.
NBP is already up and running and I let the various software write it to E:\Download.

Ok, so Newsbin is using NZB Autoload. Each Autoload folder can have it's own download path. Did you set one there? In the options, look at the properties for the autoload. If you don't set one there, it should use the main NZB or normal download path.
