Read post body....

Postby Cruiseman70 » Sat Jan 05, 2013 6:33 pm

Am I just missing it or is the Read post Body missing from the right click (mouse button)? Reply to Group also. V 6.41.............. I did find these commands in the menu, but that's cumbersome to use that way.

I know, being critical is easy. but I am still trying to find a reason to like 6.41 and haven't been able to find one yet. Still trying............still not happy.........

Hopefully it's not going to be another Windows 8, close but no cigar...........I'll go back to Mac before switching to Win 8

I look in a post list, right click an item and 5th item in the popup is "Read Post Body". I looked in both search and the post lists.

It is there. Great for that, now the lingering question, why was it moved? Image link not allowed for unregistered users Sorry, I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation, other than to p!ss me off and make me look all over the place for the commands........ I find that even when the functionality is improved, if I can't find it or have to look elsewhere for something, it's not an improvement.
Quade, I am not picking on you, just my thoughts about programmers/geeks/wonderkids (ie: MS). My entire life story can be summed up with oneacronym: KISS; Keep It Simple Stupid

I'm not sure how much more "KISS" I can make "reading the words written in the menu".

if I can't find it or have to look elsewhere for something, it's not an improvement.

You original complaint was "it's not there". Well it is there, 5th from the top. Not buried in some sub-menu. It's right there. Ctrl-R still works to read posts too. I don't mind helping you find things that you miss but, complaining that its too hard because you didn't read the menu..isn't that a bit much?

If I would have found it in the f*cking menu, I wouldn't have complained it wasn't there. I , unlike you haven't programmed the thing from the ground up. Once you pointed it out, I did see it, but had not found it until now (It used to be 2/3 way down the menu and that's where I was looking and didn't see it located at the top portion). I think you forget that you do have the inside knowledge that the rest of us don't. You have have worked all parts of the program that the rest of us either don't know about or don't care about or don't use. I keep going back to v 6.41 and try to use it, but it just doesn't function the way I was used to. Kinda like moving the steering wheel to the right side, could I get used to it, maybe, do I like it, no, but if it means getting home in a snow storm, I might use it to do that and then complain:)
