Question about multiple server use...

I've signed up for a second usenet service since my main usenet server wasn't grabbing all the content. I've added the server to Newsbin and it is "active". Will Newsbin utilize this second server only when it needs to? Is there anything else I need to do?

Example:

I give Newsbin an NZB or I create an NZB from a header search. It starts to download the content from server A but it doesn't find it all or need repair blocks. Will Newsbin reach out to Server B by itself and do this for me or do I have to manually intervene?

I'm going to check out the wiki right now and see if I can find anything about multi-server operation.

Thanks

Newsbin handles multiple servers automatically. If you have multiple servers, then Newsbin will use them all in parallel. If a chunk (post) is not found on the current server then others will be tried in turn.

If you have a server that you want only used when it is really needed, then set it as a "fill" server. Such servers are only used when Newsbin has tried all "non-fill" servers and failed to find an item.

I have multiple fill servers. I hope Quade is still working on the 6.5 feature where you can prioritize them. :D

Puzzling over how to do it without impacting performance. It's still on the list.
