Read Posts not being marked

Postby nsane » Mon Dec 31, 2012 12:14 am

version 6.41 Build 2123
anytime i right click and select read post, it'll process it down and pop it up in my text editor like it should, thats not the problem. It's not marking the post in the group listing as being read, it's just a normal green color, before it would use the downloaded posts icon for posts that have been read, any suggestions or is this a known bug? sorry if so.

Same here. After "Read Message", I hit the delete key to mark it old. Since I always do this, I would prefer the way it worked long ago (I think), that is to make read messages old after reading them.

No biggie. This was discussed long ago and maybe I forgot the reason why it is better not to automatically mark read messages old.

I can think about it. The download side is they'll vanish from the list if you have hide-old enabled then restart.

Did this question receive any further development?

Currently I was thinking it would be good to have an icon to show the file as having been read but not downloaded - I'm assuming that the read files go into a temp folder as they do not appear in my downloaded dir. when I use 'read post body'.
