Nzb file load failed

I'm on 6.40 final (x64 build on x64 windows7) but I've got this problem for many versions. It seems it can't handle certain filenames so I have to rename the nzb before being able to load it in Newsbin

not a huge problem but if it can be fixed..

I'd guess there's a leading space in the filename. Some NZB sites seem to be delivering NZB's with leading spaces in the filename.

It's on my list to check it out. Thanks.

Did you happen to verify Quade's suspicions? That would go a long way towards tracking it down. If that wasn't the case, you might want to PM him the name of the file.

The files I have a problem with, have a space before the actual name " filename.nzb" i have to rename them manually for newsbin to accept them

uppp :)

I know this is a problem with files naming not with newsbin, but it happens often and you have to manually rename the nzb (the space before the actual filename is causing the troubles) I wonder if there is any way newsbin could handle it ?

Thanks :)

I'm not 100%, Quade may verify, but I think the problem is on the OS level, not Newsbin per se. The passing of the filename to Newsbin is the part that gets pooched here, not Newsbin trying to understand the name. In other words, it happens before Newsbin can get at it to do anything.

Again, not certain. The leading space thing has always been an OS/filesystem issue in my experience.
