Resuming large download after NB is restarted issue

Postby Semel » Sun Nov 25, 2012 5:21 am

i have the latest beta.
Here is the situation. I try to download a large collection ( 20+GB)
Then i quit NB(for whatever reasons).
Then, i restart it and NB instead of(like other nzb downloaders and newsreaders) continuing downloading right at the point it was interrupted, begins ,i suppose, "checking hash" or whatever of a collection right from the beginning. And it does it VERY slowly.

Anyway to skip it?

It's rebuilding the autopar state basically. I can look into optimizing it.

I can understand that for existing files the state needs to be rebuilt. However it would be nice if this could be done in a way that did not stop downloads from running at full speed on new files.

tbh i could understand NB doing that if it wasnt shut down properly. Then it would make sense. Why would it do that at all if the shut down procedure was performed correctly?
It seems to be such a waste of time.
