Dear all,
I've been having lately some of those errors when trying to download.
As far as I understood from browsing the forum and googling, this is mostly caused by what you named here "the dmca compliance",,, as my downloads are fairly recent (2-5 days) ,,, son not a retension issue for sure.

I am right now with newshosting as the only usenet server configured in newsbin.
What would you advice me as a second server ? And how should I configure newsbin to use both.

Many thnaks in advance

You might be able to work around the issue by signing up with a non-US news provider. There's no guarantee that will work given how the US is being aggressive about anyone in the world that they consider to be breaking copyright laws, but it's likely the only Usenet option available at this time.

Actually I know that ,,,my problem is that most of the european ones are just resellers for the US providers. in fact my real question was does anybody have a european one that he can advice me the name,,, Is Astraweb, one of them ?
And am I the only one having those issues and trying to have a backup server ?!!

Best

Lots of people have the issue but, nothing I download is impacted by the DMCA takedowns so, I have no specific advice. You might check out XSUsenet.

Francly speaking, am not "impacted" that much either, but some time it is so frustrating that you cannot get the latest of your tv show episode like immediately...lol...Many thanks for the suggestion, I'll give it a try...

Yeah. I mean there are no DMCA takedowns for what I download.
