I have version 6.40 build 2059 installed, have been using Newsbin pro for years without a problem, however I now find that I cannot pause or speed limit my downloads. This has only just started happening, if I press pause/speed limit they activate for a few seconds then they switch off and it goes back to full speed, can anyone please help me/ I am running Windows7 Home premium.

Look in the options for "Scheduler". Disable it. I suspect it's on and overriding your manual settings.

Hi Quade

I was having this problem also and just got around to scanning the forum - your suggestion worked for me too. Would you give me a little detail on why, and what the scheduler is intended to do?

Thanks,
Dane

You can use it to control when Newsbin does things. For example some people get free downloads from midnight to 6 am so, they might use the scheduler to keep Newsbin running but, not downloading until midnight. They might set it to make Newsbin slow down from 4pm-8pm while the family is using the internet. There's all sort of uses.
