Pause and Reduced Speed in v6.40 b2057

Postby switchflare » Wed Sep 26, 2012 9:03 pm

Is this a known bug or something specific to my install? When I try to toggle Running to Paused or Full Speed to Speed Limited, it reverts back soon thereafter, usually within a few seconds. This is without tweaking the settings in Network Options. The behavior is the same even if I specify 60 minutes as Pause and Speed Limit timeouts.

I never had this issue with prior versions...I believe I came from 6.21. I can however select all the items in the download list and then hit pause and do the same for resume. First world problem I know, but it makes it a hassle if I want to interrupt downloads to watch some streaming video. I'll roll back if it's a known issue. Thx

You probably turning on the scheduler. It's in the options and in one of the boxes down at the bottom on the status bar to the right of the speed limiter box. The scheduler will override pause and speed limits.

Thanks for the quick response. Looks like it was as simple as that. I pulled the Scheduler toggle out of the Status bar to avoid it in the future. It would be handy if there was some indication that the scheduler was overriding my manual toggle of the other options.
