Can no longer download with newsbin

Postby Wormwood » Sat Sep 08, 2012 7:09 pm

Hi,
I have been using newsbin for several years with never a problem until now. About a week ago my old version started pausing intermittently on its own. I decided to try updating. Now when I start the program it will appear to be downloading for a few seconds and then just stop. I am getting this message in the log tab.

[17:05:12] ERROR - CFileIOWorker: Unable to Write to SpoolIO

Any help would be much appreciated.

Typically that means the drive you were downloading to isn't there anymore or is full. You can see the download folder in the download list. I'd check to make sure that drive is still there and hasn't changed from letters.

The drive is there. It has a terabyte free. I also tried a different drive. I also have uninstalled newsbin several times. I know it must be something with this computer because it runs fine on my laptop. This is really frustrating. Right now it is sitting with files in the queue and doing nothing. No error messages and it is just sitting there idle.

[17:05:12] ERROR - CFileIOWorker: Unable to Write to SpoolIO

This error message tells you alot. It tells you that Newsbin can't open the file on the hard disk for some reason.

What version are you using

Might try exiting Newsbin, right clicking the icon that starts it and select "Run as Administrator" and see of the symptoms change.
