Any way to turn it off? I hate it but unlike previous versions I can't find any way to turn it off. Thanks

I don't recall a 'compact' mode, but it probably relates to which version you're coming from. There's a setting for large/smaller icons in the toolbar...

I'm talking about how multi part files get compacted into a single header instead of showing all the multi part headers. Seeing all the multi part headers helps me quickly distinguish between spam and real posts.

That behaviour is inherent in the design of v6, so it is not amenable to change.

Thanks for that info. Anyone know where I can download an old version of Newsbin?

They're all in the download page.

You do know that 6.34 and 6.40 both have antispam code right? They'll fail encrypted rars and encrypted rar within rar sets out of the box. It's not 100% but, it's better than guessing. They fail DRM'd ASF and WMV files too.

Oh duh, compact, yeah. I was thinking the main GUI. For what it's worth, I am in no way less able to discern between spam and usable posts with the compacted sets, in fact in many ways I find it much, much faster since more material fits on a single page. Not to harp on you about it, though - you're welcome to use the older version as long as it still works on whatever release of Windows you happen to run, but you miss out on updates and new features. You might want to give it a little longer before turning your back on all future releases. Your call, though.
