Hello,

since 2 days I get the following error message:

[16:11:42] ERROR NRF - CreateRV4 Failed: C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Henry\Anwendungsdaten\Newsbin\SPOOL_V6\alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.anime\news.usenetserver.com-26865010

No clue what that could mean.
Any ideas ?

Thanks for Your help.
Henry

It suggests Newsbin can't save to that folder any more.

Have you installed any kind of new security software?
How much free disk space does that drive have?

Quade, thanks for the ultra quick response.
No new Software and plenty of space.
Actually I installed TuneUp Utitlities yesterday, but it started before.

Are you running vista, win7 or Win8?

If so, it might be worth exiting Newsbin, right clicking the shortcut that starts it and select "Run as Administrator" then see if it can save.

Basically, what's happening is Newsbin is downloading headers, tries to save them to disk and the save is failing.

7 Pro 64bit.

But You got it already.
I started as admin and it worked.
Any idea how I can make this a permanent solution for the normal start link ?
Or do I have to do that by hand everytime I start newsbin.

Thanks a lot for this quick help.

You can move the data folder

You can change the shortcut to always start Newsbin with "Run as Administrator".

Something changed on your system to break this. Newsbin doesn't need to "Run as Administrator" normally. If it used to work, then stopped working, either you're not running as the same user you used to be, or something has changed permissions in your PC and is preventing Newsbin from writing to that folder.
