Problem when adding group

Postby Scuttle » Sat Jun 30, 2012 1:00 pm

When I add a group in version 6.34 build 1886, 64bit I always get a popup with the error

[17:58:11] ERROR - CNNTPStorageSqlite: Unable to open Group database Group:alt.stuff.stuff
[17:58:11] ERROR - CNNTPStorageSqlite: Unable to open Group database Group:alt.stuff.stuff

Here's how I can replicate it:

* Groups -> Add Group
* Search for a group
* Double-click the group to add it
* Click OK
* Double-click the group in the Groups List to load it and star retreiving headers
* The error pops up, but the group loads in the background.

New install
No, I don't have bad RAM

Just tried that on a more recent release and it doesn't happen, so I guess it was fixed.

It sort of makes sense doesn't it? You add a group. You have no group data, it warns you. Group data starts to download and the problem goes away.

It's a classic chicken and egg issue.

Oh. I thought when you said 'pops up' you meant a dialog. I see what you mean, just a message.
