How do I Troubleshoot Failed AutoPAR?

Postby ppan » Thu May 10, 2012 4:22 pm

I have a few file-set where all the RAR and one par2 file are downloaded but set is not automatically Unrared.

1. Running QuickPar, it says that Repair is not needed.

2. Newsbin Properties seem to indicate that everything is available (e.g. zero missing or damaged files).
Still, the set is not Unrared (Newsbin keeps retrying; e.g. Retry: 8 Next Retry: 1697 0%: Completed)

3. There are several par files that are in pause mode (but they are obviously not needed).

4. Some AutoPar Options:
Unchecked: Disable Automatic Par Unpausing
Unchecked: Aggressive Assembly Mode

How can I troubleshoot this?

p.s. What does 0%: Completed mean? {NL}

Oh, I just found out that when I resume one of the paused PAR files, it starts to unrar...! Why?
Maybe because Newsbin was closed/reopened before the set was unrared? If this is the case, is there any way to have Autopar work if Newsbin is closed/reopened?

You should try 6.40, it does a better job handling fringe cases like this.
