Minor screen refresh issue

In v6.32 (and perhaps earlier versions, can't remember at the moment), when viewing headers of a large group, if you continuously press PgDn, you briefly see the post lines on screen as if they have half their normal height (as if they are "compressed"). Can this be "fixed" to be shown normally please (even if it perhaps slows down the PgDn a little)?

What version of windows are you using? I don't see this in Win7. Newsbin uses double-buffering in Win7. This doesn't exist in XP.

I'm wondering if it's either an overtaxed graphics chip, or perhaps driver issues? Anything unusual about your gear(old system, laptop) and are you running the latest drivers?

Yeah. If it's just happening when dynamic things are going on but, settles down, when things settle, I'm not sure there's much I can do about it. The question then is it better to show this transitional stuff or perhaps blank the screen between page downs.

Well, i'm seeing this on a less than 1 year-old HP laptop with a dual video card (Intel 3000 / AMD 6490M).

IMO, it is better to "show this transitional stuff". I believe a blank screen would make things worse.

I've downloaded the latest drivers (which BTW are the same as the ones i already have) and set the application to work as "High performance" but no difference.

I haven't seen this behavior in other programs. Are there any related Newsbin options i can tweak to see if the situation is improved? It's starting to be irritating because it also happens in a single PgDn or PgUp.

Well, i noticed something rather strange. If i move up and down using the scrollbar and the mouse, this effect does not occur. I see that only when using the keyboard (PgUp/PgDn).

Reopening this rather old issue with some new info that could prove to be helpful for testing.

I've installed NB in a virtual PC (vmware esxi 5.5 free), so now a standard video driver is used (one that can be used for testing more easily). I'm experiencing the same issue shown in the picture in my first post.

Windows 7 SP1, NB 6.51, latest vmware tools which come with esxi 5.5 (including the latest video driver) are installed.

Hope this helps a little.
