6.31 Crash when closing Group tab

In version 6.31 I can consistently crash Newsbin when trying to close a group tab when the posts number display has just changed.

For example, my TV group is open and the tab looks like this: "TV (386)"
I delete all of the posts, wait a sec or two (cuz there always seems to be a delay).
The tab then reads "TV (0)".
If I click on the X just as the number changes from 386 (or any number) to 0, Newsbin will crash. I get the Windows error "Newsbin must be closed". I'm on Win7 x64.
If I close it before the number changes, it's fine. If I wait half a beat and then close it, it's fine.

Are you using "Delete" or "Shift-Delete"?

Usually Ctrl-A, then Delete on the keyboard.

So, you're marking them old, not deleting them them.

Thanks. That's what I'll try.

"Delete" marks them old
"Shift-Delete" permanently deletes them from storage.

This problem was reported last year and is still an issue

I was never able to reproduce it but, slim186 has given new details.

"Close the tab before the count on the tab is updated".

I might have to dig out my slower machine to test this.

Another thing I've noticed with zero counts is that if I'm working with a number of open tabs at the same time and I'm clearing them out (marking all old on multiple tabs one after the other) the post counts don't update until I close the first one that says 0. Then the next one will update to 0 and I have to close it before the next one will change. It seems to be ok as long as the number is bigger than 0.
