Download list won't empty

Even after the RAR files are successfully reassembled and the main post is moved over to the Files tab, the PAR files stay in the Downloads tab (whether they were downloaded or not), meaning the Downloads tab has to be emptied manually. Is there a switch that governs this behavior?

What version are you using? Are you letting Newsbin assemble the rars or doing it by hand?

Using version 6.3; letting Newsbin auto-prcess the RARs.

I think I've ran into the same problem... I took some screen caps of the file list and download list. I still have the nzb file too. Would you like me to upload them some place?

Here's an ImageShack screenshot of the behavior I described: [url]http://goo.gl/yfzzH[/url]. As you can see, the downloaded items still appear in the Downloads window even though the downloads completed successfully.

Give 6.31 a try. There are cases where Newsbin says "I don't have enough information, I'm just going to leave these files sitting there waiting for manual intervention. 6.31 seem to do a good job cleaning out the list but, still there are cases where it's waiting for a human to do something.

it seems I have just this situation: Two dozen releases on different groups, aimed at my ears finally, from various posters, left in the download frame after a monster download of several hundred releases. In the download frame, all postings are labeled as completely downloaded, yet they were not unrared automagically. (Have to mention, that up to 6.30 they even did not fully download automatically, that changed with 6.31).

A cuick unrar does nothing, assemble incompletes assembles them (flawlessly) but leaves the entries in the download frame. And there, the faithful retry mechanism has partially arrived at attempt # 2.881. Literally.

The basic setting here is - Let NB do as much as possible automatically. (Wondering again and again, if my understanding of things is the same that NB has learned...). If I don't mix it up with Agent, there was one button in the NB menue a long time ago that was labeled "force download". Efficient as a sledge hammer.

So, this boils down to the question: Is it intended (if so, why?), that NB leaves the entries in the download frame after successful unraring (even alleged incompletes) the files? An automatic purge from there after a successful decoding doesn't sound too wrong, does it?

Umm same problem here. I tried opening another server account with blocknews and still no different. I have files that say they are downloaded completely but they never leave the download list. And when i manually unpar them they are missing blocks. Is it the servers fault or my newsbin install??

Are you using 6.31? What does quickpar say?

Do you have PAR files? If you have damaged files, you need PAR files to repair them.
