Trying to understand/configure filters

I currently have two filters defined. All I want to do is ignore completely anything that uses the words sample in the title or filename. I am probably doing something wrong. With the filters set below, the only thing that happens is the files/titles that have the word sample in it end up just staying in the newsreader indefinitely; and set to pause. Would do I need to do in order to automatically remove the paused sample items from the download list?

How are you feeding files to the download list? Search, NZB, Headers?

How are you assigning the filter? In the NZB options, you'll want to assign that filter as the "NZB Loading Filter" option. That should keep the samples out of the download list altogether.

Your filter should work. Specifically the subject reject filter should work. The filename filters only apply after download completes.

If the "NZB Loading filter" doesn't work, I'll give it a try here.

I am glad I asked. You answered my question. Thank you. It appears I needed to select the global filter I had defined using NZB loading filter.

Since NZB's might or might not have a mix of groups. It seemed better to give them their own filters.
