Is there a way to set start time...???

Technical support and discussion of Newsbin Version 6 series.

Is there a way to set start time...???

Postby Snik. » Wed Jan 04, 2012 4:31 pm

Seems my isp is starting an unlimited download period, but it's between 2am and 8am EST. Naturally, this is way past my bedtime.(I'm old)

Is there a newsbin setting that will do this automatically...???

Thanks.

6.21 and newer has a scheduler so, you can tell Newsbin when to pause, when to run and when to run but, at a reduced speed.

You can probably do it with that.

You have to leave it running, can't let windows go to sleep and when the time comes, Newsbin will unpause itself and download whatever's in the queue. You might be able to just tell windows to wake up at a specific time but, that's not built in. As long as the PC is running when the time comes for Newsbin to run, it should work.
