Auto assemble incompletes

Hi folks,

First of all I am a registered Newsbin user. I love the product but I am unable to find the relevant option to tell it to auto assemble incomplete downloaded files.
So if I put several items to download, when I come back I still have some in the queue that await my right clicking it t oassemble the incomplete files... Then Newsbin takes over and autopars, unrar... just fine.

Can this be set automatically so that it completes everything on its own ?

Thanks.

Auto-Assemble incompletes is now always on which make sense as most posts are now accompanied by par2 repair files. There is also in the latest release the complementary 'test' facility where you can check if a post is likely to complete before attempting to download it.

For new posts there is, however, aa delay from the posting date before the auto-assemble takes place so that if posts are still 'in transit' or being uploaded they get picked up. This delay period defaults to 48 hours I believe. This delay period can be changed as documented in the Advanced section of the User Guide.

What version are you using? I'm always tweeking this. I think 6.2 does it best currently. I have some idea's to improve it even more for the future.

That is an old version now - the current production release is 6.2.

There have been significant improvements in the area of assembly of incompletes (as well as many other bug fixes and improvements) so you should definitely consider upgrading.
