List for "Permanently Delete This Poster"?

Postby jlindquist » Fri Dec 02, 2011 7:02 pm

Is there any readable record of posters that have been permanently deleted? I don't mean the "Dirty Rotten Spammers" list, but the ones that are zapped with <control><Q>? In zapping through the horde of spammers posting daily, I am afraid I may have hit a "friendly" by mistake and I want to check this.

No list, once it's done it's done. The only way to get them back is to re-download headers. You can do what without deleting the current headers by using the "Use Download Age" in the "Post Storage" section of the groups list. Then set the download age to how far back you want to download.

I guess I am misunderstanding how the "delete this poster" works. Is it just a one time action, not a permanent block? I thought that I was creating some kind of blacklist.

It's a snapshot. Every occurrence of this poster is deleted from the currently loaded groups in this tab. When you download new headers, if you download new headers posts from this poster can show up again. Just all of his older posts will be gone.
