Old downloads keep re-downloading on newsbin start

Hi

I am running NB pro 6.10 build 1339

Every time I start newsbin, it attempts to start downloading some previously downloaded files. I stop the download, and delete them from the download list.
Newsbin works fine from then on.

The next time I start newsbin, the same files start downloading automatically. I also noticed that the MOTD no longer appears at start.

Is there somewhere I can purge so this stops happening, or will I have to try something more drastic like a full reinstall?

Thanks

Delete "downloads.db3". It'll wipe, download, wish and the failed list.

Done that, all clear now thanks.

I did have a look at that file, with notepad, but it appeared to show details of other items as well as the problem downloads, so was wary about deleting.

Glad it was that easy.

Once again, Thanks :)

It's a database so, deleting entries doesn't actually remove any data. It just tells the DB "these items are unused now". That's why the file doesn't shrink when records are deleted.
