I just started having this problem with Newsbin RC 1 or I upgraded to RC 3 and it is still there. I start Newsbin and it takes all the physical memory on my system, up to 6.5 G. I am running on the a system with 7 G of total memory. This just started happening yesterday. And had not happened, at least that I saw before. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Aaron

How much is in your download list? You mean it just starts and uses 6 gigs or you start, download awhile and then it uses 6 gigs?

There were only about 50 or so in the download list and it would start using all the memory just as soon as it started downloading the headers when it just started up.
I believe I have it fixed now though. I moved the Newsbin directory in AppData/Local and recreated it. I then copied back over my groups.db3 file. I restarted Newsbin and it is now only using about 350 Meg of memory with about 15000 downloads going now. I did download all the headers from all my groups again, but at least it is not using up all my memory and locking my system up anymore. Must have been a corrupted database file. If you want the database files just tell me where to send them.

Downloading headers doesn't use much ram if the post lists are closed. If you keep them open while "Downloading all Headers". You'll probably eat some RAM. Wonder if it's related to that?

Don't know, but right now it is downloading all the headers for one group and it has over 29,000,000 headers and it is still only using about 500 Meg or memory. So I'll just figure it as a corrupt db file and go on from here.
