After upgrading from rc5 to final version build 1019 newsbin dont load nzb files from my downloaded zip files anymore is it just me or is it a annoying bug??

What extensions do these files have?

The extension is .zip

How big was the file? Just digging around the code I see two possibilities

1 - If the file is located in a folder Newsbin can't write to, it'll fail.

2 - If the file > 10 megs in size, if won't try to process it.

I fixed #1. It'll revert to unzipping to a temp folder if it can't unzip to the current folder. I also increased the size to 20 megs.

The size of the zip file is about 40kb.

And it was located in C:\Users\JoakimC\Documents\Nzb\ i tried to use C:\nzb folder instead but that didn't work either.

Im on windows vista.

So there you have my setup.

Email me the ZIP file. "ts at newsbin dot com", You'll have to rename it, the email server doesn't take zips. test.dat or something like that. Remind me that it's a ZIP in the message.

I'm just wondering of there's something wrong with it. Have you tried the "Load NZB" button (first button) on the toolbar?

Oddly, your zip worked just fine for me. I loaded it with the load NZB button and then tried copying it to the autoload folder.

Are you opening it from the browser or saving it and loading it?

i save it to the autoload folder and that dident work i tried open it with the load NZB but nothing there to.

i will try to install Newsbin again and see if something went wrong with my update.

I tried to reinstall newsbin build 1019 and the same, then i installed RC5 over my install and now it worked again for me.

FWIW, zipped nzb's don't load for me either. Tried dragging/dropping onto newsbin and placing it in the auto nzb folder. Rar'd nzb's work fine. I'm using WinXP 32 bit SP3.

Version 5 worked with ZIpped NZB's as did the first Beta of V6 I installed. But now I have gone to the full release and they dont load. If I extract them manually then Newsbin loads them no problem.

Hope Quade can resolve this?

This. It's loading zipped up NZB's for me now.

v6 build 1019 is not loading .zip nzb's for me, I am running 64-bit client on win7 enterprise. I re-downloaded and installed on 7.11.11

When I say "for me now" I mean the version I have here which you guys don't have yet. I'm shooting to get a new beta up today or tomorrow.

its fixed on b1 but its not downloading in the specific folder ,
i have it like this
ex .
D:\nzb\series

its supposed to download at
ex. Downloads\series\
but its downloading at D:\downloads\ instead ... not in the folder called "series"

Haha, that's fixed to. Beta 2 or 3.
