Is a.b.m screwed up? V6 give me tons of critical errors when it gets new headers from a.b.m. I have got nothing new in 13 hours? Anybody else see this problem. I know there a million tiny rars and exes posted lately. Are they clogging up the system?

Thousands of these pop up and no new updates on the headers.

Well, they're all spam so, maybe that's a good thing.

I'll have to purge the group and see why they're getting rejected. Might be because they're all duplicates of other spam posts.

You can disable the popup window in the "Prompts" options or click the "Hide the Window" button to hide it this session.

The bitch is the good stuff stopped too. No new headers for 17 hours now in a.b.m. All the other groups are fine. I would hate to purge. I have 800 days worth, 160,000 headers cleaned and ready to go. It takes forever to get 800 days worth, with a 15 Meg connection too. I end up starting it over and over . It just stops for some reason and takes days to get them all. I switched from Power Usenet to Giganews, maybe I won't have that problem now?

If we catch those spammers can we smack the crap out of them?

I love this software. I started with Forte Agent. Newsbin works. You can tell how many times it has failed me. Look at all my complaint posts .

As an experiment, you could rename the group in the "Spool_V6" folder. Then set a download age of 5, right click the group and "Download Latest" and see if it can pull the newest 5 days worth of posts. Astra's been fighting header download problems so, I'm not clear if this is Newsbin or astra.

I must of done something wrong. 6106865 headers are being downloaded.

It worked. Got the new ones, 600 headers. The spam was over 150000 in 5 days. WTF?

Yeah ongoing problem. Not sure what they can do about it.

So if I want my 800 days worth, I just go back and rename my a.b.m.old to a.b.m? It should work OK? I didn't think it was a Newsbin problem. All those damnn .exe and tiny rars.

"Confirmation Options". Is that it's called now.
