Files not being released by newsbin.

I'm not sure if this is a Newsbin problem or a Windows 7 problem.

I go to clean out my download directories once a week or so. I get rid of the old files that are still there ( pars, rars, info, ... ) things like that and nb2 files for things I decide I did not want after they started to download. The only way I can remove the nb2 files is to shutdown newsbin. I get the error message about the file being used by newsbin so it can't be delete.

Thanks and I do not think this is a buggy piece of sh!t.

I imagine if Newsbin is running, it still has interest in some of the NB2 files and that's why you can't delete them.

Seems that if I remove them from the download list newsbin should have no more interest in these files and they are at least 2 or 3 days old when I go to delete them. And yes I run newsbin for all the time.

I had a bit of frustration with these .nb2 files too (I presume they're the new .nb! files?). I could see no reason for NewsBin to have any more interest in the stuff it wouldn't let me delete.

Problem seems to have gone away after I decided to turn off AutoPAR and/or AutoUNRAR. I didn't use those in V5, so no idea if the same problem existed with .nb! files.

By the way, it's a Windows problem (a real OS doesn't lock up files like that) *and* probably a NewsBin problem.
