Invalid icon in retrieval of failed post

When trying to retrieve a post, it immediately failed and was shown in the "failed files" list, however in the newsgroup's posts list, its icon turned from a blue dot to a green document icon, indicating that it was normally downloaded.

Is this the expected behavior? Shouldn't at least the icon be red, indicating that an attempt was made to retrieve it but it failed?
