Exceeding the Group Folder 50 limit

Is there a configuration file I can change to get past the 50 group limit to the groups folder?

When I search in a group folder I get the error:

Group Filter Error

You have too many groups in your group folder. Please limit your group folder to 50 groups for this feature.


Not sure why this limit exists. My performance seems to improve (and the quality of my results) when i limit the search rather than search for everything.
