I noticed a consistent occurrence in my files list. The .rar, .r00 etc files aren't removed from the list even though the files are delegated from the hard drive. This occurs for hidden nam downloads. This doesn't occur for names of files that are not hidden. Any one else see this behavior?

What version are you using? For now the refresh button should remove them. That's the twisty arrow button on the toolbar.
