6.70B5 - Crashes using Speed Limiter

Postby cEEk » Tue Feb 16, 2016 5:15 pm

I've actually had this issue going back to v6.5, but when I turn on speed limiter, NewsBin crashes after about 10-15 minutes, sometimes sooner, but it will definitely crash. If I run without speed limiter, my computer stutters very badly even though I have an MSI GODLIKE X99 mobo, Intel 5960X, 64GB RAM and Intel SSD 750 1.2TB. I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64bit and all sleep functions have been disabled on my system. Any ideas?

For the stutter, I'd make sure your security software ignores the Newsbin data folder altogether. I'd probably make it ignore Newsbin's connections to the news server too.

I find your results to be pretty odd. Some users are getting 600 Mbps though Newsbin with no report of stuttering.

Are you running your drives in AHCI mode (bios setting)?
