Lost All Settings

Hello

Haven't been on my computer in awhile and we had power outage for 5 hours.

But when I launch Newsbin and there not no groups or servers. (NOTHING)

I can see everything in my AppData/Local/Newsbin folder. (Had 3 servers and about 25 newsgroups)

Any way to restore everything?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I never saved a configuration file. (Shame on me)

In the options select "Load backup config on restart" then restart. It should offer you some configuration files. I'd select one from before the outage. Pick a folder to save it to. Then click OK. Make sure it's a folder you can write to.

There were no files available when I restarted

You can search around your hard disk for "Newsbin.nbi" then look inside with wordpad to see if it's any good. It you can't find one, you'll have to start over again. As long as the data folder and server names are the same, it should pick up the old headers.

If you do find a good one, try double-clicking it to import it into Newsbin. It's a good idea to backups.
