Newsbin Pro no longer downloading files - newshosting.com?

Hello,
I am getting the following messages from Newsbin pro v .21 build 1534.
[21:28:30] ERROR InterSocket - Error: SSL Negotiation Failed, Host: news.newshosting.com Error Code: 0 The operation completed successfully.
[21:28:30] ERROR InterSocket - SSL Connection Failed: 0 The operation completed successfully.


I have been using the same configuration for years now and suddenly - over the last 3 weeks or so - I cannot download anything. I have checked online with others who use newshosting.com and the files I am looking for are all there for them.
They are not there for me.
People seem to be pointing to Avast as the culprit. I have been using avast for about 4 years so something must have changed.
Has there been anyone who has been successful in adjusting avast so as to keep the protection but not to mess up the newsbin pro flow?
Any help would be appreciated as this is driving me crazy.

Avast updates on a regular basis so, the Avast from 4 years ago isn't the same one you're using now. If you're using SSL, you need to tell avast to let Newsbin talk to the server on port 563. As an experiment, you could try turning off SSL and see if it works too. What's the chance your account has simply lapsed and you need to update you credit card?
