Restoration of groups data

Postby asdf23 » Sun Mar 16, 2014 5:57 am

I had my system re-installed after a format, and after installing newsbin 6.51, I proceeded to copy back my saved data, from which I understand that it's saved in the newsbin.nbi file.

In the previous versions, I just backup the entire newsbin folder in the appdata and copy it over to the new installation and I need not do any other configuration.

In v6.51, it doesn't seem to work. Please advise on where did I go wrong here.

Thanks!!

Has the path to the Newsbin DATA folder changed (that is the most likely problem area) on the new system?

You should open up the .nbi file in a text editor and check all paths are correct for the new system. Once you are sure they are correct launch Newsbin by double-clicking the .nbi file to set that as the default configuration file.

Thanks for the help. The path was indeed wrong. I decided to set my data path to another drive as it's taking up space on my limited size SSD.

Thanks once again!!

Yeah, we have a procedure for moving the data folder. Sounds like you already know how to do it though.
