ERROR AssembleSpoolFile - Unable to open Spool file

Postby toram23901 » Sun Dec 15, 2013 5:04 am

I just upgraded to 6.50 and I tried to get a download going, but I get the following:

[03:00:27] ERROR AssembleSpoolFile - Unable to open Spool file: "filename.ext" yEnc G:\Download\<filename.ext>.nb2
[03:00:27] ERROR INT_AssembleFile: Assembly Failed

Can someone point me in the right direction of where I should look? I believe I just choose to "upgrade" and everything looks like it is the same as before (6.40). I see my newsgroups and the settings are all the same.

This error happens with any file I choose to download a file. I tried looking for the error message, but I could not find anything specific about this. Thanks.

Typically this means Newsbin can't write to the file when it tries to assemble it. Normally because the drive letter has changed, the drive has dropped offline or a permissions problem.

Thank you. I went back to the directory and re-applied permissions. I believe this happened when Windows did asked me "Would you like to share this folder" earlier yesterday. I have no idea why Windows would decide to alter the directory permissions in doing this, but reapplying permissions worked for me.

Thanks.
