(0000).jpg saves no descriptions

Postby wmoritz » Sun Aug 11, 2013 6:17 am

Newsbin 6.50 Beta 14, August 6, 2013 did not have a fix for this problem.

Will it be solved in the next revision?

I believe a solution to be important because many picture creators don't uniquely name their session shoots.
Thank you, kindly.

It's on my list to look at but, I don't have an ETA. If I just did it for pics it might be doable.

If you used the image DB. Newsbin stores the original filename with the subject so, you could then export entire sets to your folders. Let them collect up in the image DB, view, then sort on subject and export as files or export to smaller image DB's.

It would just be a work around for now.

One other aspect:

In Options:
[x] Enable File Descriptions
Log Subject: [x] Put the Subject field into the description
Log Poster: [ ] Put the From: field into the description
Log Date: [ ] Put the Date: field into the description
Log Group: [x] Put the Group into the description

This does not work.
If it did work with the (000x).jpg I would be entirely happy and eternally gratefully. (For a while, anyway), hehe...

Hopefully you will do the pictures first.
