Windows 8 new install "AutoPARPlgin failure"

AutoPARPlugin: Autopar Block Counts Indicate good files but, UnRAR FAILED: No UnRAR: ...

Only under Windows 8 not under Windows 7 on the same box, just reinstalled Windows 8 as a secondary OS and while Newsbin works (I actually have winrar installed on both OSes), extracting paprs does not (well the message make it appear that unrar is not present. Tried to reinstall, with the same result. Any ideas?
Note: quickpar works under Windows 8 and can repair the files also if I restart into Windows 7 then it extracts fine, problem only occurs under Windows 8.

I'm having no issues with repair under Win8. Not sure what to tell you at this point. Been running Newsbin under Win8 for weeks now.

Wonder if it's specific to that file set?
