i am about to change internet provider, are there be any changes i need to make to ensure ongoing use of newsbin

If you're using a commercial news server like AW, giganews or any of the others, then no.
If you're using your ISP's news server then yes. Your new ISP might not have a news server.
If you're using your ISP's news server then yes. Your new ISP might not have a news server.
