Reset all of newsbin data to like new

Postby memphis343 » Fri Aug 24, 2012 12:40 am

Sorry if this has been asked already. I did search for a while and found nothing. The issue is I have been using my computer with a dead battery so the time has not been right for at least the last year. I have noticed since I have installed a new battery and reset my date that I am missing a lot of headers from groups. At least it seems to me like I am getting many less than I was. Anyway I just want to reset all database files and start fresh. I have tried to delete all the .db3 files and it still shows the last day I downloaded headers. I want every group to act as a new group.
Thanks.

If you wipe all the DB3's in the spool_v6 folder, you're taken out all of the header databases.

What news server are you using? Some news server will deliver no more than 120 million headers per group which is a tiny fraction of what's there. Might want to check the "Storage Age" too while you're at it.
