Show filenames re-sorts list

I had reported this problem a year or so ago on Ver 5, and you quickly verified and corrected the problem. Now in Ver 6, I am having the same problem. I have searched the forum and wonder if I am the only one who uses filenames. Is there a switch turn off sorting somewhere. I overcome this by isolating files by search. then showing f/n. Another thing on startup the MOTD flashes up then disappears. I am using 6.33 build 1882

Yeah on the motd. It open the window and then checks to see if there's a new message. If there isn't, it closes it. Maybe I should check earlier.

I'll look at the sort thing.
