Passworded RAR files = fail :(

Technical support and discussion of Newsbin Version 6 series.

Passworded RAR files = fail :(

Postby sansini » Wed Oct 19, 2011 3:58 pm

Hi all,
Since I've upgraded to Newbsin 6.11(1342) 64bit, I'm having big issues with password protected RAR files. Say for example, I have a set a rar's 100MB each, 100 of them, I've got Newsbin set to AutoPar and UnRar but after downloading the first rar file in the list - it just simply stops. Unprotected rar files are fine.
I've seen that you can right click on a file and choose 'assign Unrar password...' but when I click this nothing happens. I'm struggling a bit now and wondered if anyone with a more advanced skillset with 6.11 can offer any help?
Thanks in advance, Sansini.

P.S The event log simply states:
[19:45:29] ERROR - Passworded RAR - Paused FILENAME.rar

There's an option to disallow/allow passworded rars to download - it's 'no' by default. I apologize, I'm running an internal version which has this section of the options quite a bit different from what I think you're using, so unless someone else can toss out a hint, you'll want to dig through options for that. :)

Yeah, it's in the advanced options. Just uncheck it.
