Speed Limited - Zero Bandwidth Option

Postby haileris » Fri Sep 09, 2011 6:09 am

Is there an option to essentially stop Newsbin downloading during the "speed limited on"? Achievable through hacking the registry?

Cheers

Not built into Newsbin.

However you can achieve what you want using my NBSchedule utility. I use it to Pause Newsbin during the periods when my ISP (VirginMedia) measures download volumes for speed capping purposes. I also use it to hide Newsbin when it is paused to help keep my PC's desktop clear.

Ha! Thank you, I will look at this. Strangely enough, my ISP is Virgin Media as well... funny that huh. Even turned down to 16KBps, they still claim I am using too much during the daytime...
