old headers

I have NewsBin set up as follows
download age 2
display age 1
storage age 30
when I download headers, I'm getting today's headers and older headers. Today 5/17, I downloaded headers from a.b.ebooks. I got today's headers and some headers from as far back as 4/22. After I look at headers I delete them with shift delete, close all the tabs, go to the groups tab, and delete stored posts. I also have hide old checked. So I don't understand why I keep getting these older headers.
