Another (Better?) way to run NB under Linux

While it isn't officially supported, we have many users who successfully run NewsBin under Linux with a Windows emulator (Wine is the most popular). This forum exists for you Linux guys to share your experience getting NewsBin running on Linux as well as report any strangeness that we may or may not be able to fix. DThor is the resident expert.

Another (Better?) way to run NB under Linux

VirtualBox 2.06 was released on the 17th December. Still free, now offers experimental 3D support. Further development in hand on this too.

If you want to run a full Win**** environment this has to be the way. Performs better than VMWare, I've tried both, and this is my honest opinion, your experience may vary but I don't honestly think it will.

Additional info re 64 bit support

Forgot to mention until prompted by other Posts.

VirtualBox 2.06 introduces the ability to run 64 bit guests on 32 bit hosts and Vicky Verky.

This might bail out some users with compatibilty problems.
